From Blogging to Becoming an Author
When I first started writing for my blog, 7thAveWellnessBlog.com, I never imagined it would lead to publishing 20 books on Amazon. At the time, blogging felt like a way to share my voice, connect with others, and explore the topics I was most passionate about, wellness, transformation, and personal growth. I didn’t have a grand publishing plan or a marketing strategy; I simply had a desire to write and a belief that my words could help someone out there who needed guidance, clarity, or encouragement. Today, I can confidently say that my journey as a blogger laid the foundation for my author career. And now, after a much-needed vacation to recharge and refocus, I’m back at it, committed to writing new blog posts regularly and continuing the work that helped shape this incredible path, from blogging to becoming an author.

Let me take you behind the scenes of how it all began, and how you, too, can turn your blog into a book-writing career.
The Blog That Started It All
7th Ave Wellness Blog began as a simple creative outlet. I was passionate about holistic wellness and personal development, and I wanted to create a space where I could share insights, stories, and tools that had impacted my life. My first few blog posts were raw, personal, and unpolished, but they were real. I was speaking from the heart.
As weeks turned into months, I found myself building a consistent habit of writing. I wrote about mindset, healing, nutrition, overcoming self-doubt, and rewriting your personal narrative. I also explored topics like emotional intelligence, goal setting, and building inner strength. Over time, my blog evolved from a personal journal into a public platform that attracted readers who were on similar journeys.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that I was already doing the hard work of writing a book—I just didn’t know it yet.
Connecting the Dots: From Blog to Book
One day, after reviewing older blog posts, I noticed a theme. Many of my posts shared a common message: resilience, transformation, and self-empowerment. I asked myself, “What if I could compile these posts and reshape them into a book?”
That question changed everything.
I began organizing posts by topic, identifying gaps that needed filling, and rewriting content so it flowed as a cohesive manuscript. It was a creative process of refinement, expansion, and storytelling. But because the core content was already there, I had a solid starting point.
My first book was born from that blog-to-book experiment, and once I realized it could be done, I did it again. And again. And again.
Publishing on Amazon Kindle
The self-publishing world can seem intimidating at first, but Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) platform made it surprisingly accessible. I learned the formatting process, created my own covers (and later worked with designers), and figured out the basics of keyword optimization, categories, and author bios.
With each book, I got better, both at writing and at navigating the publishing process. Eventually, I published 20 books, each one reflecting a different aspect of my journey and message.
My books are now extensions of the blog. They are deeper, more structured explorations of the topics I cover online. And best of all, they continue to reach new audiences who may have never found my blog otherwise.
Taking a Break, and Coming Back Inspired
After pouring myself into 20 books, I took a well-earned vacation. Sometimes, we need to step away in order to see our work more clearly. During my break, I reflected on everything I had created, and I thought deeply about where I want to go next.
The answer was simple: back to the blog. Back to the heart of where this journey began.
So now I’m back, refreshed, renewed, and ready to write again. You can expect new posts weekly, including behind-the-scenes insights on publishing, lessons learned from the writing process, and deep dives into the topics that matter most to me (and to you, my readers).
Tips for Aspiring Authors
